Hello, my name is Dez and one thing you should know about me is that I’m not just your photographer.. I’m your friend, your hype man, your therapist and so much more!

Weddings are beautiful but they are also sooo chaotic! This is why I take it upon myself to make sure you are comfortable, stress-free and happy during the biggest day of your life! This leads into why my photographic style is kind of a mix of everything:

I like to be a fly-on-the-wall during ceremonies. This allows me to capture everyone’s raw and authentic reactions/emotions!
I like to be hands-on and direct during family photos. This allows everyone to feel at-ease knowing I’ve got it taken care of!
I like to be artistic yet guide you during bride & groom portraits. This allows me to capture the love and intimacy unique to you!

Each couple is different and some approaches may not be necessary! This is why getting to know you and talking to you is so important!.Your vision and expectations are extremely important to me, because when the chaos sets in.. I need to know (without asking) if I should step in or back off. Genuinely caring about you is what makes me a great photographer!

film photography is something that requires time and patience. this is because you cannot adjust and review camera settings like you can with modern cameras. it’s like a buried treasure because you don’t know the beauty your camera holds until it’s developed! this is what makes film feel raw, real and timeless.

the first step is to get to know you, your needs and how I can help! the sooner you reach out, the sooner we can chat about your date, estimate a price and talk about my services. if we're a good fit then I'd be happy to help!

PLANNING

STEP 02

we're a perfect match and it’s time to plan the big day together! whether it's itinerary planning, location scouting, or simply making a list of photos needed. I am ready to help you prepare for the big day and making sure things go as smooth as possible!

the big day

STEP 03

it's the big day and your job is to enjoy it! we've done the hard work and I will make sure photos are taken care of, you focus on having a good time and marrying your best friend! Trust me, I got this!

photo delivery

STEP 04

a full gallery can be expected up to 6 weeks after the big day. this is because I want to make sure each photo carries meaning as well as a purposeful edit. I am a perfectionist and I don't want to give you anything less than what we envisioned!

Frequently Asked Questions

the first thing to do is reach out. if we are a good fit, I will prepare the following items for you:
- booking deposit link
- service agreement
once these items are completed, then you are officially booked with me and we begin planning!
I travel all across the west coast!
I reside in phoenix, arizona so most places in the greater phoenix area do not require a travel rate but places outside this area do.
If you’re unsure about what your specific travel rate would be then I’d be happy to give you a price!
all images will be delivered through a digital gallery link where you can download the files.
the link can be distributed to anyone you choose and there is no limit on how many images can be downloaded.
you can also choose to order prints through this site (which I highly recommend) but it is not required!
turnaround time definitely depends on the photography service and amount of edited photos. it can be as short as 3 weeks or as long as 7 weeks.
either way, I will let you know closer to the 3 week mark when to expect them if you haven’t already received them!
I like to incorporate these following photography styles when shooting:
- candids ~ most common during wedding receptions and small family shoots
- documentary style ~ most common during wedding ceremonies
- traditional photos ~ most common during family portraits
I tend to focus my energy towards creating something natural, well lit and overall happy! something that captures the whole day the way it was!
my editing style is focused on bringing out true colors that aren’t over saturated and lean slightly warm. I find most people identify my style as natural, whimsical, romantic and fun!
